Weekly Run
Southwest County Park is one of my favorite places to run in Edmonds. Soft trails, beautiful trees and lots of wildlife. This week Alina and I (Lane Seeley) ran a loop on both sides of Olympic View Drive for a total distance of 1.86 miles.

Lynnwood Golf Course Trail - For a fast course on soft surfaces to train or run your CYO virtual races you might want to try the running trail around Lynnwood Municipal Golf Course. The official start of the loop is on the north side of the pro shop for the golf course. Just walk through the gate in the fence and look to your left for a small sign. There are markers every quarter mile up to two miles which takes you almost all the way around the loop.

Brave 5k - https://www.bishopblanchet.org/brave-5k
You can run this virtual race on any course but if you are looking for ideas near Edmonds where you can avoid traffic here are two suggestions:
Lynnwood Golf Course Trail – Soft surface trail. The loop is about 2 miles so you will need to go about 1 and ½ times around for a 5k. According to my Garmin watch, if you start at the golf course pro shop you will finish at the track by College Place MS.

Interurban Trail – If you prefer a paved trail you might try the interurban. Starting at 52nd Ave. W. you can run along the trail without any street crossing until you get to 33rd Ave. W. Turn around at 33rd Ave. W. and return to where you started for a 5k.
