Tuition & Fees
St. Pius X School makes every effort to keep tuition at a level that allows eligible students to attend our school. In order to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost to educate each student, parents are obligated to participate in both fundraising activities and service hours to the school.
We charge tuition at two different rates: In-Parish & Out-of-Parish. Please see more below for eligibility requirements and criteria.

Tuition Payments
We utilize Finalsite (previously known as School Admin) as our Tuition Management System. We offer 3 tuition payment options:
- Tuition Paid in Full by August 1st
- Two (2) equal payments (paid in July & January)
- Ten (10) equal payments (paid July - Jan & Mar - May)

Uniforms
Uniforms are required for all students and available through our well-stocked Exchange Closet or may be purchased new through Educational Outfitters.

Fundraising Obligations
Pre-Kindergarten - 8th Grade:
- Jog-A-Thon: solicit minimum $75/family
- Auction: Procurement of $100 item and $50 cash
- Raffle: Sell 50 tickets per child, max 100 tickets/family
- SCRIP: Generate $250 profit per family (June 1st - May 1st)

Service Hours Obligation
Service hours to be completed from June 1st - May 31st
Preschool - no service hour requirement
PreKindergarten - 8th Grade:- 40 hours for two parent family*
- 20 hours for single parent family*
* (2) hours required to be Auction related for Pre-Kindergarten families. (4) hours required to be Auction related for kindergarten - 8th Grade. (4) hours required for parent-related events (Parent Club, Curriculum Night or Conferences)Volunteer service hours are self-reported and documented online. All families are required to manage volunteer hours and for fulfilling their obligation. If volunteer hours are not met, we will assess a $30/unworked hour rate, to be paid at the end of the school year.

In-Parish Tuition Rate Criteria:

Registered at St. Pius X Church in Mountlake Terrace, WA

Current Stewardship Commitment Card on file in the parish office & good-faith effort to keep commitment

Regular attendance at Sunday Mass

Active contributor to sacramental life at St. Pius X Church, such as supporting parish activities and tithing
A quarterly review may be shared by the parish to verify contributions. Families receiving the "In-Parish" rate may be moved to the "Out of Parish" rate for failure to fulfill requirements of the tuition contract and Family Handbook. If there is a financial challenge being incurred by a parish family, please notify St. Pius X School directly, as we have a deep commitment to ensure all Catholic families have the support they need.

We are committed to making Catholic education affordable and accessible to all who seek it.
Families are able to apply for tuition assistance through the Fulcrum Foundation, as well as our local STPX School Fund. All families must apply through the FACTS Tuition Management Grant and Aid portal to qualify for both the Fulcrum grants and the STPX School Fund. Both the Fulcrum Foundation and St. Pius X School use the same application. All awards are based on financial need.
The financial aid application fee is $35. Learn more about the Fulcrum Foundation's TAP grants here, or get started on your financial aid application through FACTS.
FACTS- Fulcrum Foundation financial aid applications are due on December 31, 2024.
- To apply for any tuition assistance, families must complete the Fulcrum Foundation Aid Application first (even if you apply after the December deadline)
- St. Pius X School uses the information from the Fulcrum application to determine tuition assistance awards from the STPX School Fund; there is not a separate application.
After we are informed of the grants awarded by the Fulcrum Foundation, we will make further decisions on requests during the registration process.
If looking to apply for tuition assistance for the 2025-2026 school year after the February 15, 2025 deadline, please contact Principal Dottie Farewell to ensure assistance is still available for the year.
